Glazed T-Bone Steak
3 Tbsp olive or peanut oil
1 Tbsp oyster sauce
3 Tbsp soya sauce
pinch of ground star anise
freshly ground black pepper
6 T-Bone steaks
Mix all ingredients in a shallow dish. Add steaks and leave to marinate for at least 1 hour. Heat a pan or BBQ and cook over medium to high heat for 3-4 minutes each side. (This will cook the steak rare - cook longer if you like it cooked more)
Try it with this quick salsa
1 fresh pineapple or 2 tins of pineapple pieces
1 small red pepper
4 spring onions
4 Tbsp fresh mint
salt and freshly ground black pepper
Cut pineapple into bite sized pieces if using fresh pineapple. Drain if using tinned pineapple. Remove stalk and seeds from red pepper and chop into bite size pieces. Slice spring onion into thin slices. Mix together in a bowl and add chopped mint and salt & pepper.
